Job summary

United Employment Solutions, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Product Development Coordinator to join our Project Management team in California.

You will coordinate product development from inquiry to launch, working with Sales, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Production, and customers. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in project management or product development in a manufacturing setting, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field and 1–3 years of project management/product development experience in manufacturing/consumer products.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP, Salesforce, or project management tools is a plus.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects from initial inquiry through development, production launch, and commercialization.
• Manage timelines, milestones, approvals, testing, prototypes, BOMs, specifications, and documentation.
• Coordinate a smooth transition from development to production, ensuring readiness of artwork, materials, and components.
• Serve as a liaison between Sales, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Production, and customers.
• Provide timely updates, timelines, and status reports while identifying risks and delays.
• Support product costing, quotations, packaging development, artwork reviews, and material sourcing.

Position Summary

The Product Development Coordinator serves as the central point of coordination for product development projects, working closely with Sales, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Production, and customers.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects from initial customer inquiry through product development, production launch, and commercialization.
• Manage project timelines, priorities, milestones, approvals, testing, prototypes, BOMs, specifications, and documentation.
• Coordinate the transition from development to production, ensuring specifications, artwork, materials, and components are ready for launch.
• Serve as the communication link between Sales, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Production, and customers.
• Provide project updates, timelines, and status reports while proactively identifying risks and potential delays.
• Support product costing, quotations, packaging development, artwork reviews, and material sourcing.
• Maintain accurate product information and documentation in ERP systems.
• Work with Regulatory/Compliance teams on applicable labeling, ingredient, and regulatory requirements.
• Understand manufacturing capabilities, MOQs, changeovers, and material lead times when developing project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Packaging Science, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in project management, product development, coordination, or a related manufacturing/consumer products environment.
• Contract manufacturing/OEM experience strongly preferred.
• Manufacturing or production-floor experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP, Salesforce, or project management systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of packaging, manufacturing processes, quality, or regulatory requirements is helpful.
• English fluency required.
