Job summary

EnVogue International in New York is seeking a Product Development Manager to lead high-volume development across home textiles, decor, and related consumer products, from concept to production handoff in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will collaborate with design, sales, and production, manage overseas factories, develop assortments, and optimize costing, materials, and vendor relationships to meet retailer requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product development, sourcing, or merchandising within home textiles, home décor, or consumer products.
• Experience developing physical products from concept through sampling and production.
• Strong knowledge of materials, construction, costing, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working directly with overseas factories, vendors, and suppliers.
• Strong merchandising sense with an eye for color, pattern, quality, and retail trends.
• Ability to manage high-volume projects, multiple deadlines, and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume product development projects from concept through production.

• Identify new product opportunities, materials, constructions, and design innovations.
• Work directly with overseas factories and vendors on sampling, costing, and development.
• Negotiate pricing, evaluate materials, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Review samples for quality, construction, functionality, materials, and overall execution.
• Maintain product specifications, tech packs, BOMs, costing sheets, and development records.
• Collaborate with Design, Sales, and Production teams to meet retailer requirements.
• Research market trends, competitor products, and emerging consumer preferences.
• Track development timelines, approvals, and key milestones.

About the Role

This hands-on role combines product development, merchandising, sourcing, costing, and vendor management, from initial concept and sampling through production handoff in a fast-paced, retail-focused environment.
