Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc. in Mannford, OK is seeking an entry-level Product Development Engineer for a 12-month contract. Responsibilities include assisting in concept generation, design and evaluation of new products, and developing prototype products and test setups.

The role requires setting up and operating test equipment, recording data with limited supervision, and communicating results. 40 hours/week, first shift, 8 am–5 pm, on-site in a medical device environment.

Qualifications

• Education or training in a technical discipline with some work experience in a technical discipline.
• Ability to work with basic computer programs (e.g. creating documents in Microsoft Office).
• Basic machining/fabrication knowledge (can fabricate simple fixtures/components).

Responsibilities

• Assist in concept generation, design, development and evaluation of new products, materials and technologies.
• Develops prototype products, processes and test set-ups.
• Sets up and operates manufacturing and/or test equipment.
• Records data with limited supervision.
• Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data, such as lab results and engineering changes.
• Documents engineering reports and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics).
• Prepares reports and summaries, including quantitative analysis.
• Scopes equipment for use and completes qualifications.
• Notifies manager upon recognition of factors that may affect project.
• Executes designed test protocol and communicates results.

Requirements

• A combination of education (education or training must include a secondary school and must have been in a technical discipline) and 2 or more years relevant work experience (4 or more preferred).
• Or, minimum of an Associate Degree with less than 2 years relevant work experience.

• Ability to work with basic computer programs
• Ability to manufacture devices including small components
• Ability to understand and perform designed test procedures
• The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group is critical
