Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Industrial Design, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a product creation-related role (or 2 extra years if no degree).
  • Proven project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of product construction concepts, materials, and the full product creation life cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and solve problems in a product creation environment.
  • Proactive self-starter with clear communication, teamwork, and leadership qualities.
  • Aptitude for translating consumer insights into relevant product solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product teams through the full creation process to ensure on-time delivery and meet performance goals.
  • Translate briefs and 2D renderings into high-quality 3D samples while upholding performance standards.
  • Infuse products with compelling narratives and push design boundaries.
  • Define product and testing requirements through understanding of sports and best practices; ensure thorough testing and fit.
  • Recommend material, component, and construction solutions to meet features and performance goals.
  • Oversee all phases of the product lifecycle from concept to commercialization and manufacturing readiness.
  • Drive excellence in product and process within a collaborative team environment for complex projects.
  • Serve as primary liaison for overseas partners and ensure clear communication at every stage.
  • Ensure methodologies align with industry-leading practices for product excellence.

What You'll Do
  • Lead product teams through the entire creation process, ensuring exceptional execution and on-time delivery of products that meet critical deadlines and performance objectives.
  • Translate project briefs and 2D design renderings into high-quality 3D samples, rigorously upholding performance standards crucial for athletes.
  • Infuse products with compelling narratives, pushing the boundaries of expression through innovative development.
  • Develop and apply deep understanding of various sports and best practices to define precise product and testing requirements, guaranteeing product performance through comprehensive physical and field-testing (fit).
  • Recommend and specify optimal material, component, and construction solutions to achieve key product features and performance goals.
  • Engage in all phases of the product lifecycle, ensuring projects are completed promptly, align with design intent, and are ready for successful commercialization and manufacturing.
  • Drive excellence in both product and process within a collaborative team environment for assigned complex projects.
  • Act as a primary liaison for overseas partners, fostering clear and precise communication throughout every stage of product development.
  • Navigate internal frameworks to ensure all methodologies align with industry-leading practices for product excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a product creation-relevant role, or two additional years of demonstrated experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven project management capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate goals and objectives clearly and persuasively.
  • Solid understanding of product construction concepts, materials, and the comprehensive product creation life cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and solve complex problems within a product creation environment.
  • A proactive self-starter and quick learner, with clear communication skills, a team-player mentality, and strong leadership qualities.
  • Aptitude for understanding consumer needs and translating those insights into relevant and impactful solutions for product challenges and opportunities.
What Will Make You Stand Out
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, sketches, and/or 3D digital files.
  • A proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams with competing deadlines, consistently delivering on tight timelines.
  • Knowledge of footwear pattern engineering, tooling, or manufacturing processes.
  • Prior experience working with innovative, technical, performance-driven products.
  • Previous experience within a similar product development environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
