Qualifications

You’ll have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with powertrain components or combustion engines, including hands-on, club, or DRE experience
  • Experience with base engine testing or mechanics
  • Experience with base engine sub-system design and development

This position offers a salary range of SG5-SG8.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Manage engineering requirements and deliverables necessary to achieve PPAP completion for remanufacturing powertrain programs in the cycle plan, including leading the resolution of technical change requests received via SREA.
  • Work with Product Category Management to determine priority programs and timing requirements.
  • Build, manage, and maintain the engine BOM for remanufactured engines.
  • Manage the BOM and its development using tools such as Excel, WERS, CMMS, etc.
  • Coordinate with Product Development to follow new engine programs and keep remanufacturing timelines on track.
  • Hold Product Development accountable for Service and Reman related deliverables to meet timelines.
  • Manage remanufacturing component requirements as directed by Product Development for warranty purposes and as decided by remanufacturing for retail.
  • Collaborate with engineering resources to develop Engineering Specifications (ES) as required.
  • Provide engineering support for Service Parts Warranty, Core disposition, Material Cost Savings, Total Value Management (TVM), and Complexity Reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure all engineering requirements are included in the RFQ process.
  • Review Supplier Request for Approval (SREA) requests promptly.
  • Support joint Product Development and FCSD initiatives.
  • Major interfaces include Product Category Management, Purchasing, Product Development, Engine suppliers, and Components Suppliers.
