Qualifications

Job description

• Permanent position for a Product Design Engineer.
• Design products to optimize manufacturability.
• Make modifications to existing products for specific customer requests.
• Value engineer existing products to expand their offering and lower manufacturing costs.
• Coordinate efforts with the Tech Center to ensure timely delivery of pre-sales submittal documents.
• Lighting design for Point Source, LED, Linear Fluorescent and/or Custom design solutions.
• Prepare all required documentation in ProE and Windchill drawings and BOM's and Purchase Specifications in MAPICS.
• Support Manufacturing in product assembly.
• Assist Customer Service, Sales and Marketing in any technical, service or product/project related issues.
• Travel to Job sites, agents, and trade shows.
• Establish and Approve test results and implement changes as required.
• Process ECN as required.
• BS Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Design.
• Design and creativity.
• Identify and solve complex engineering problems.
• Apply critical thinking to overcome technical challenges.
• Strong project management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.
