Job summary

Health Care Service Corp. seeks an internal product development consultant and project manager to shepherd products from ideation through development, commercialization, growth and retirement. You will support sales and retention teams in crafting basic products addressing customer needs and profitability.

The role requires strong PM and leadership abilities, along with defining product scope, benefits, services, pricing, platform and vendor relationships. Hybrid work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and 3 years of strategic planning, research, project management, product operations or health care experience, or 5 years in similar roles, or a Bachelor plus a Master and 2 years.
• Ability to interact with staff management across departments and levels.
• Ability to lead and mentor others and to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong business and financial analysis skills and knowledge of sales/marketing dynamics.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Job Summary

This position is responsible for functioning as an internal product development consultant and project manager, to lead products from ideation through development, commercialization, growth and maturity to retirement; assisting sales and retention business units in developing basic products that address their respective customer needs and meet company profitability and operational requirements, and assisting in defining product and scope including benefits, services, target pricing, platform and vendor relationships.

Required Job Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree and 3 years experience in strategic planning, research, project management, product administration, product operations or relevant health care industry OR 5 years of experience in strategic planning, research, project management, product administration, product operations or relevant health care industry OR a Bachelor's Degree, a Masters Degree and 2 years of experience.
• Ability to interact with staff management across multiple departments and levels.
• Ability to lead and mentor other staff, as appropriate.
• General business and financial analysis skills.
• Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, marketplace and competition.
• Strong analytic and information synthesis skills.
• Project management skills, including strong organization, prioritization and problem solving skills; strong oral, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; ability to accept direction and feedback.
• Flexibility and responsiveness in managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Presentation and group facilitation experience.
• Initiative and persistence, with ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred Job Qualifications

• Health insurance or healthcare industry experience.
• Previous responsibility of the administration of a product or product line, including development of products from inception to launch, and product introduction and monitoring for success or need for reengineering.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and presenting to internal clients.

This position is expected to adhere to HCSC's hybrid flex policy of 3 days onsite weekly at the approved listed location.

Base Pay Range $63,300.00 - $114,300.00 Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Hybrid Flex Policy

Flex employees are expected to be in the office a minimum of three days a week. Management will have discretion to modify an employee's weekly schedule for exigent circumstances.
