Advantage Technical is seeking a skilled Buyer in Raymond, OH to manage purchasing activities for automotive prototype projects. You will coordinate with engineers, suppliers, and internal teams to keep programs on schedule and within scope.

Responsibilities include reviewing CAD drawings to source components, maintaining supplier communications, and ensuring timely delivery. Candidates need SAP experience and strong Excel/Office skills, with travel/overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, contracts, or supply chain experience.
• Experience working with automotive or prototype parts.
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings (no design work required).
• Strong proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and business software.
• SAP experience required; Ariba/SAP Business Network experience is a plus.
• Automotive industry experience preferred.
• Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders and track multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to support project timelines.
• Review CAD drawings to identify and source automotive and prototype components.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier communications.
• Resolve procurement issues and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Support purchasing activities using SAP and related systems.
• Provide project coordination and administrative support in a dynamic R&D environment.
