Job summary

Xirena in DTLA is seeking a Product Development Assistant for a full-time onsite role. You will manage swatch books, tagging, QC, and seasonal line builds for NY/LA/EU showrooms, and assist with sampling line sheets and packing lists.

The position requires 2–4 years in garment/textile work, strong attention to detail, and excellent time management. Collaborating with the PD and Technical Design teams, you will help organize samples, photoshoots, and line planning while maintaining orderly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

Swatch Books

• Create 13 swatch books per showroom (NY/EU/LA) within the given timeline and calendar due dates — from cutting swatches through sending out for book binding
• Flag to supervisor early if time constraints arise

Final QC & Tagging (Each Seasonal Line)

• Create and attach tags for each group per season to SMS
• Perform final QC on each line: styling, loose threads, damages, main label, and quantity
• Build out each line by season and by showroom (NY/LA/EU)
• Confirm all lines/units match the packing lists sent to showrooms
• Flag to supervisor early if time constraints arise

Press Sample Requests

• Send and receive press samples
• Maintain SMS line inventory on the 5th floor
• Coordinate with showrooms on sample returns
• Keep the sample room organized
• Maintain 2 years of samples on the floor; rotate older-season samples to sample sale
• Process and check in each line arriving from EU/NY/LA

Sampling Line Sheets

• Create sampling line sheets once line sheets receive final approval
• Create packing lists for each line sent to market (NY/LA/EU)
• Maintain accurate, organized records of line sheets and packing lists by season on the server
• Pull and arrange lines for meetings and photoshoots as needed
• Manage pickup and check-in back to the main floor

Technical Design Support

• Assist the Technical Design team one day per week
• Support the PD team with additional tasks as needed

Skills & Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–35 lbs (sample boxes, line racks, swatch books)
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and repetitive motion while organizing samples and swatches
• Ability to push/pull rolling racks and bins across the sample floor
• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the workday
