Job summary

Randstad USA in San Francisco is seeking a Product Development Assistant to support the Men’s Bottoms Product Development team with hands-on garment tasks and data management. You will help manage samples, finish standards, and coordinate cross-functional activities to meet seasonal milestones.

The role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in Excel and SharePoint, and a willingness to learn PLM workflows as part of cross-functional finish reviews and milestone support.

Qualifications

• Excellent organizational ability with high attention to detail for managing physical sample inventory and logistics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; comfortable using SharePoint.
• Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to team workflows.
• Experience or familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Product Development Assistant will support the Men’s Bottoms Product Development team across a variety of hands‑on tasks involving physical garments and data management. This role plays a critical part in supporting Product Developers through key seasonal milestones, facilitating cross‑functional finish reviews, and managing sample logistics and tracking systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Sample & Garment Management: Manage garment finish standards, including shipping, receiving, tracking, and physically organizing samples in the designated file room and on seasonal rolling racks.
• Data Entry & Tracking: Review garment finishes and input detailed feedback into tracking logs utilizing Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.
• Cross-Functional Meeting Facilitation: Support cross-functional finish reviews during seasonal milestones by prepping samples, managing sample logistics (shipping/receiving), and capturing live comments in SharePoint during meetings.
• Seasonal Milestone Support: Assist Product Developers with administrative, data, and sample‑related tasks to ensure all milestone deadlines are met smoothly.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational ability with high attention to detail for managing physical sample inventory and meeting logistics.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working within SharePoint sites.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adopt new ways of working and established team processes.
• PLM Systems: Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software is strongly preferred (training on specific team workflows will be provided).
