Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• 1–3 years of product development experience in apparel.
• Experience with women's ready-to-wear; multiple categories a plus.
• Working knowledge of PLM systems.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the product development lifecycle from concept through production.
• Manage seasonal Time & Action calendars and approvals.
• Source fabrics and trims for seasonal development.
• Issue comments on lab dips, strike-offs, fabrics and trims.
• Coordinate fabric, lab dips, trim, and sample requests and approvals.
• Maintain approval libraries for fabrics, lab dips, trims and samples.
• Communicate daily with overseas and domestic vendors, mills, and factories.
• Maintain product information in PLM systems including BOMs for factories.
• Prepare weekly status reports and participate in cross-functional meetings.
• Troubleshoot development challenges and scale solutions as needed.
• Build partnerships across Design, Technical Design, Production, Sales, Planning, Textiles.
• Support process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Job description

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Product Development Associate to support the end-to-end product development process from concept through production. This role partners closely with Design, Technical Design, Production, Textiles, Planning, Sales, and overseas vendors to ensure calendar adherence, product execution, and timely delivery of market and production samples.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, energetic, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused, with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while building strong cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Support the product development lifecycle from concept through production
• Manage and maintain seasonal Time & Action calendars
• Source new fabrics and trims to support seasonal development
• Issue approval comments on lab dips, strike-offs, fabrics, and trims
• Coordinate and track fabric, lab dips, strike-offs, trim and sample requests and approvals
• Maintain approval libraries for fabrics, lab dips, strike-offs, trims, and samples
• Communicate daily with overseas and domestic vendors, mills, and factories
• Maintain accurate product information within PLM systems including bulk Bills of Materials (BOMs) for factories
• Prepare weekly status reports and participate in cross-functional meetings
• Troubleshoot development challenges, use sound judgment to identify solutions, and scale issues as appropriate
• Build strong partnerships across Design, Technical Design, Production, Sales, Planning, and Textiles
• Support process improvements and operational efficiencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-3 years of Product Development experience within apparel; strong candidates with slightly less or more experience may be considered
• Experience working within women's ready-to-wear apparel; exposure to woven, knit, denim, or multiple categories preferred
• Working knowledge of PLM systems
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, hands-on approach

Salary Range: $65K – $70K *Actual base salary for this role within the above range will be based upon experience, qualifications and/or assigned unit.
