Job summary

Premier Brands Group Holdings, a global apparel leader, seeks a Product Development Associate in New York to support end-to-end product development from concept to production. You will work closely with Design, Technical Design, Production, Textiles, Planning, Sales, and overseas vendors to ensure calendar adherence and timely delivery of samples.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in apparel product development, experience with women's wear, PLM proficiency, and strong Excel/communication

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Product Development experience in apparel; strong candidates with slightly less or more may be considered.
• Experience in women’s ready-to-wear; exposure to woven, knit, denim or multiple categories preferred.
• Working knowledge of PLM systems.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the product development lifecycle from concept through production.
• Manage and maintain seasonal Time & Action calendars.
• Source new fabrics and trims to support seasonal development.
• Issue approval comments on lab dips, strike-offs, fabrics, and trims.
• Coordinate and track fabric, lab dips, strike-offs, trim and sample requests and approvals.
• Maintain approval libraries for fabrics, lab dips, strike-offs, trims, and samples.
• Communicate daily with overseas and domestic vendors, mills, and factories.
• Maintain accurate product information within PLM systems including bulk BOMs for factories.
• Prepare weekly status reports and participate in cross-functional meetings.
• Troubleshoot development challenges and identify solutions.
• Build partnerships across Design, Technical Design, Production, Sales, Planning, Textiles.
• Support process improvements and operational efficiencies.

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Product Development Associate to support the end-to-end product development process from concept through production. This role partners closely with Design, Technical Design, Production, Textiles, Planning, Sales, and overseas vendors to ensure calendar adherence, product execution, and timely delivery of market and production samples.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, energetic, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused, with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while building strong cross-functional relationships.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Support process improvements and operational efficiencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1-3 years of Product Development experience within apparel; strong candidates with slightly less or more experience may be considered
• Experience working within women's ready-to-wear apparel; exposure to woven, knit, denim, or multiple categories preferred
• Working knowledge of PLM systems
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, hands-on approach

Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000

Actual base salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and business needs.
