Job summary

AXS is seeking a Product Designer to lead client website design from concept through launch in Charlotte, NC. The role emphasizes a product mindset to identify reusable patterns for the core platform and to mentor junior designers.

You will partner with Creative and Development teams, applying AI-assisted tooling, WCAG AA+ accessibility, and production-like prototyping to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of web and product design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Ability to present work, defend decisions and incorporate feedback with craft.
• Expert Figma usage including components, variants and tokens.
• AI-native workflow for prompting, iteration and evaluation.
• Ability to create near-production prototypes using AI tools.
• Comfort discussing feasibility with developers without coding.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end client projects from concept to launch.
• Deliver tailored solutions while identifying reusable patterns.
• Design in real materials using AI-assisted tooling for pre-tested hand-offs.
• Partner with development as a peer to reduce churn and ensure feasibility.
• Direct AI as part of the workflow and curate design prompts.
• Contribute to shared design systems and tokens informed by client needs.
• Turn analytics into decisions for near-term work and roadmap direction.
• Mentor associate designers and share craft with the team.
