Job summary

AXS seeks a Product Designer to join our Carbonhouse team in Charlotte, NC. Lead client website designs and maintain a product lens to reuse patterns across our platform. Collaborate with developers, enable AI-assisted workflows, and contribute to shared design systems.

You will mentor associates, analyze analytics, and translate client insights into product direction while delivering high craft and production-ready outputs.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of web/product design experience with a portfolio showing systems thinking and brand applied with intention.
• Client-facing confidence to present work and defend decisions.
• Expert Figma: components, variants, design tokens, library management.
• AI-native workflow: prompting, iterating, automations, evaluating output.
• Near-production prototypes using AI-assisted tools; discuss feasibility with developers.
• Deep command of responsive, accessible (WCAG AA+) design and performance.
• Designs for reuse across sites and products; build design systems.
• Ability to read and discuss front-end constraints with developers.
• Data-informed judgement from analytics to guide decisions.
• Ownership and independent project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end client projects from concept to launch on our platform.
• Deliver tailored client solutions while identifying reusable patterns for the product suite.
• Design with production realism using AI-assisted tooling and hand-off to development.
• Partner with engineering as a peer to reduce churn and ensure feasibility.
• Contribute to shared design systems and tokens.
• Turn data into insights to influence client work and roadmap.
• Mentor associate designers and share craft across the team.
• Collaborate with Creative Director to present concepts and interpret client brands.
