Job summary

Kobalt Labs is seeking a Product Designer to define the next generation of its product and brand. You will craft complex design systems, rethink existing products, and own the website from concept through implementation.

This hands-on role requires strong systems thinking and a portfolio of enterprise-friendly work. You’ll collaborate with the CTO and engineering to shape workflows, patterns, and interfaces, turning business requirements into elegant, scalable experiences.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing and shipping software products, ideally complex B2B or enterprise applications.
• Exceptional systems thinking including information architecture, interaction patterns, states, and reusable primitives.
• A strong portfolio showing visual craft and thoughtful interaction design.
• Experience contributing to design systems across a growing product.
• Comfortable working in code and using AI-assisted tools to iterate on web experiences.

Responsibilities

• Design complex product workflows from first principles, collaborating with engineering from concepts to shipped product.
• Establish the design system for Kobalt’s platform with reusable components and patterns.
• Own Kobalt’s website end-to-end, from visual direction to implementation and iteration.
• Evolve the visual identity across product and website as the company grows.
• Engage with customers to translate messy workflows into simple, intuitive interfaces.
