Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a UX professional to join the User Experience and Digital Customer Experience team in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on turning complex applications into simple, intuitive experiences through conceptualization, prototyping, and end-to-end UX work.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment, apply UX best practices, and work with developers to deliver polished designs across the full design lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2 years of UX practitioner experience in design, interaction, or research.
• Bachelor’s degree in HCI, UX, CS, Visual Design, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong skills with Axure, Sketch, Zeplin, Flinto, Adobe CC.
• Experience partnering with developers in an agile environment.
• Analytical skills for complex data problems and sustainable solutions.
• Collaborative across disciplines, product lines, locations, and time zones.
• Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methods to define user stories and UX deliverables.
• Apply UX best practices and research to influence design direction and product decisions.
• Partner with developers to implement UX designs from inception to delivery.
• Collect, analyze, and act on feedback to evolve UX deliverables.
• Present work to stakeholders with data-driven design recommendations.
• Create visual style, interface, and interaction flows for applications.
• Develop detailed specifications and design patterns for UX systems.
