Job summary

AIG's Charlotte, NC-based Product Designer role focuses on shaping the future insurance experience. You will own product design in an agile setting, collaborating with business sponsors, stakeholders, and engineers to deliver simple user experiences for complex workflows.

The role emphasizes building in a design system, partnering with CX researchers, and communicating design rationale to diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in design or related field.
• Portfolio of work strongly preferred.
• Experience taking ownership in cross-functional teams.
• Strong in responsive web design and mobile/native platforms.
• Experience with Figma and design systems.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and write well.
• Exposure to front-end technologies like Angular, HTML, CSS.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process using Figma and our design system to create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Collaborate with CX Research to identify user pain points and opportunities and create intuitive experiences.
• Work with global teams to balance user needs with business goals.
• Ensure quality design requirements are met across projects.
• Contribute to design system and scalable patterns and components following brand standards.
• Present project deliverables with design rationale to stakeholders.
• Partner with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
