Job summary

Preql is hiring a Product Designer to shape the UX of our AI-powered financial data platform. You’ll work with the lead PM and tech leadership to make data transformation intuitive for finance teams. The role starts as part-time with flexibility to grow.

Responsibilities include end-to-end design, user research with finance teams, and building a scalable design system to support web apps and integrations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of product design experience shipping web applications.
• Proficiency in modern design tools (Figma preferred).
• Experience with interaction design, not just visual design—you think in flows and states.
• Ability to produce everything from rough wireframes to polished, production-ready specs.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product design from discovery through high-fidelity prototypes and production handoff.
• Conduct user research with finance teams to understand workflows, pain points, and mental models.
• Translate complex data operations into clear, approachable interfaces.
• Develop and maintain a coherent design system that balances speed with consistency.
• Collaborate closely with engineering to ensure design intent survives implementation.
• Participate in customer demos to observe user reactions and gather feedback firsthand.
• Iterate rapidly based on product specifications and real-world usage patterns.
