Job summary

Headway is transforming mental healthcare by building a scalable platform for providers and patients. The Practice Growth role focuses on designing an AI-enhanced front desk that streamlines inquiries, scheduling, and follow-up, enabling providers to spend more time with clients while maintaining a healthy practice.

The candidate will shape interactions for diverse providers, lead rapid prototyping with Claude tools, and collaborate with product and engineering to move solutions into production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience, with CRM/pipeline or marketplace product work.
• Experience with real 0→1 work and defining new product surfaces.
• Ability to design with a systems perspective across multiple actors (provider, prospect, patient).
• Experience designing agentic or AI-powered workflows beyond simple chatbots.
• Strong visual and interaction design craft with attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Own the Practice Growth experience from prospect to active patient, partnering with PM and Eng.
• Design an AI front desk and scheduling assistant handling inquiries, bookings, and follow-ups.
• Accommodate diverse provider types without fragmenting the experience.
• Lead through prototyping with Claude tools and Cursor; define patterns and quality, guide production.
• Conduct provider research to validate solutions with the research team.
