Job summary

Pencil is seeking a Product Designer to take full ownership of the core Editor experience, the central marketing OS for content creation. You will lead strategy and execution with Product and Engineering to ship features that speed up generations and exports with AI.

Based in Europe, this role supports remote work from home country with flexible hours, collaborating with a fast-moving team, evolving the design system, and shaping what we build and why in a high-growth environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing digital products in SaaS or editing/creation tools.
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end product thinking with speed and impact.
• Ability to work autonomously with strong product intuition.
• Experience collaborating with engineering to translate design into development.
• Proficient in working with design systems and AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own a core area of the Pencil editing platform end-to-end, from problem framing to shipped product.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define and ship features that increase generations and exports.
• Design high-quality interfaces for editing tools with focus on speed and usability.
• Expand creation tools across formats (ads, images, video, email, display).
• Design and improve AI-powered editing workflows that feel clear and trustworthy.
• Ensure design intent is translated into development and iterate with engineers.
• Conduct user research to identify problems and improve usability and clarity.
