Atalanta seeks a Product Designer in Washington, DC to design the core product experience of Argo. This role involves working closely with engineers and customers in high-stakes environments such as energy, space, and defense.

As a Product Designer at Atalanta, you will design the core product experience of Argo, working closely with forward deployed engineers and customers to turn complex system reasoning into intuitive, usable workflows. Our customers are highly technical teams building mission‑critical systems across energy, space, and defense, and this role requires engaging directly with those users to understand their workflows and translate real operational challenges into product features.
Design workflows and interfaces that help users model complex software and hardware systems and understand how those systems behave.
Work closely with forward deployed engineers and customers to turn real‑world operational challenges into product capabilities.
Create visualizations that help users explore system architectures, dependencies, and decision tradeoffs.
Design experiences that translate mathematical reasoning and proofs into clear explanations that both engineers and non‑technical decision makers can understand.
Explore new interaction patterns, including AI‑driven interfaces that help users ask questions, investigate problems, and reason through high‑stakes decisions.
Experience designing digital products, ideally in complex or technical domains.
Ability to design interfaces that help users understand complex systems, relationships, and behaviors.
Strong systems thinking and the ability to translate technical concepts into intuitive user experiences.
Comfort working closely with engineers and iterating quickly in a fast‑moving product environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage directly with users and translate insights into product feature prototypes.
Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.
Eligibility for a TS/SCI security clearance (U.S. citizenship required.)
The salary range for this position is estimated to be $150,000 – $200,000 per year. Employees will also receive a significant equity grant, commensurate with the contribution expected from this role.
