Job description

About us

Founded in 2015 in Athens, Greece, Welcome redefines the way people travel by going above and beyond the commoditized transfer service and being the first company to deliver a complete, personalised, in-destination travel experience. From the moment a traveler arrives at a new destination, until their return journey home, Welcome accommodates all their travel needs, including transfers, sightseeing trips, and local information, in the easiest, friendliest, and most personalised way possible. Welcome's drivers are experts in the area and share their local know-how to make travellers feel at home wherever they are. The company has also introduced contactless rides, thorough cleaning protocols, and protective equipment to make every journey safe.

Being a travel tech startup, Welcome continues to grow and scale its operations and is quickly becoming a global category leader for in-destination travel services.

  • One of the highest-rated global transportation companies with a rating of 4.9/5 stars.
  • Expanded from 200 destinations last year to 350, achieving our ambitious 2024 growth target.
  • Over 4,000 travel partners including 2,500 hotels, numerous vacation rentals, and travel agents, adding 50+ new ones every month.
  • Over 2.5 million happy travellers every year.

The Team

We are a group of vibrant, diverse people who love travelling and never settle on quality. Each one of us didn’t join Welcome by chance and believes deeply in what Welcome is trying to achieve, so we work relentlessly to make that happen. We challenge common logic, focus on design, put simplicity and usability first, and create memorable experiences. We keep learning and exploring better ways to serve our community and grow personally and professionally in our respective fields. We stay humble along the way, with a "pay it forward" mentality, but with big and bold goals.

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Partners Product team. The Partners team builds products for travel businesses, including hotels, travel agencies, and other partners, helping them manage bookings, serve their customers, and grow their business with Welcome.

You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Analysts to turn complex B2B workflows into simple, intuitive experiences and help us raise the quality of our partner-facing products.

Responsibilities
  • Own the design process from problem definition and discovery through delivery and iteration
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Engineers to understand customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints
  • Design simple and intuitive experiences for our partner dashboard, booking management, integrations, and reporting workflows
  • Communicate your thinking clearly and build alignment across teams and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Engineers during implementation to ensure a high-quality result
  • Follow up on released work, evaluate its impact, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Lead our B2B design system and contribute to our global one
  • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate research synthesis, prototyping, and delivery
  • Work on products used by travel businesses around the world and see your work move from early discovery into production
  • At least 3 years of experience working on complex products as a Product Designer or similar role
  • A portfolio that demonstrates your process, judgment, and impact, not only polished final screens.
  • The ability to lead complex and sometimes ambiguous design problems with limited guidance
  • Strong product thinking and the ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
  • Experience using research product data, and experimentation to inform and evaluate design decisions
  • Strong interaction and visual design skills, with focus to accessibility, content, and implementation details
  • Experience owning or driving adoption of a design system (components, patterns, documentation)
  • Clear communication skills and effective collaboration across Product, Engineering, and business teams
  • A pragmatic mindset and the judgment to choose the right approach for each problem
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in your design workflow (research synthesis, prototyping, spec or code generation) with judgment on when not to use them.
  • Experience with B2B, SaaS, marketplace, travel products, design systems, or code-based prototyping would be a plus
  • Strong fluency in English

Applications with no portfolio won't be considered further.

Tools & Workflows

Figma is our main design tool. We use Jira and Confluence to organize and document our work, alongside analytics (Mixpanel, PowerBI), research, prototyping, and AI-assisted tools depending on the problem we’re solving.
