Job summary

Nucor Buildings Group (NBG) is seeking a Product Design Manager (Supervisor) to lead product development and improvements across divisions. You will mentor the Product Design Team to maintain standardized PEMB products, parts, and assemblies, collaborating with engineering, production, sales, purchasing, vendors, and customers to enhance performance and ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• PEMB experience with in-depth knowledge of PEMB structural systems and related components.
• Working knowledge of building codes, load standards, and industry specs (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC).
• Proficiency in engineering drawing interpretation, CAD software, and MS Office products.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent PEMB experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of value-added PEMB products, processes, and tools across NBG divisions.
• Prioritize design investments to improve parts and products for builders and ease of production.
• Oversee evaluation of PEMB structural systems and components for optimization, cost reduction, and performance.
• Gather feedback from detailing, customer service, design engineering, production, sales, and vendors for improvements.
• Direct the team to ensure compliant, accurate, and standardized products across divisions.
• Provide strategic feedback to promote benchmarking and interdivisional alignment on standards, tools, and processes.
