Nucor Corporation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering support for new product development in a lead role at the Jackson facility. You will interface with the Product Group Leader, Project Manager, and ECO Liaison to improve existing products and develop design solutions for project needs.

The role requires a BSME and 6–12 years in heavy manufacturing or custom machine building, with hands-on skills in design, analysis, drafting, and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.
• 6-12 years engineering experience in heavy manufacturing or custom machine building.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for new product development projects in a lead role.
• Interface with project leadership to improve existing products and develop design solutions.
• Perform mechanical analyses including static/dynamic, FEA, and test planning.
• Create/manufacture BOMs and drawing sets; collaborate with vendors and manufacturing teams.
