The Dixon Group, based in Chestertown, Maryland, seeks a Product Design Engineer to research, design, and develop new products using cutting-edge technologies. You will split time between the design desk, test lab, and shop floor, delivering innovative product families from concept to completion.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 0–2 years of hands-on design experience; familiarity with fluid power and machine design is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 0–2 years of hands-on design/project experience preferred.
• Familiarity with fluid power, machine design, or industrial parts manufacturing.

Mansioni

• Design and develop innovative products from concept to completion.
• Create detailed models and drawings using SolidWorks and review drawings for accuracy.
• Perform engineering calculations (stress analysis, heat transfer) for design adequacy.
• Conduct simulations and establish testing procedures.
• Improve product cost, quality, and performance through engineering knowledge.
• Analyze challenges and plan actions based on data.
• Manage multiple projects and balance priorities.
• Engage in hands-on work across design desk, test lab, and shop floor.
