Job summary

G&H Diversified Mfg., LP in Houston, TX is seeking a Design Engineer to research, design, test and support new products and the systems used to make them.

You will transform ideas into real products, lead projects from concept through installation, and collaborate with Operations, QC and Supply Chain to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

Requirements include a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 3–5+ years of experience in mechanical design with SolidWorks, BOMs and documentation.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-5+ years’ experience in mechanical design with independent work.
• Proficient with SolidWorks 3D, part/assembly modeling and 2D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean sheet designs in SolidWorks using drawing specifications.
• Act as project engineer and manage projects through design, development, test, fabrication, assembly and installation.
• Hands-on during prototype and testing; collaborate with Operations and QC to resolve issues.
• Develop BOMs, routings, job templates, test plans and work instructions.
• Identify vendors/contractors to support product development and ensure compliance with standards.
• Travel to field locations to support customers using products.
