Job summary

Sewer Equipment in Dixon, IL is seeking an entry-level Design Engineer to develop mechanical designs for sewer jetters and related equipment, using 2D/3D CAD tools to produce robust drawings and support assembly and testing.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, strong aptitude for mechanical design, the ability to manage multiple projects, and collaboration with purchasing and manufacturing in a fast-paced office and shop setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Strong conceptual and analytical mechanical design abilities
• Proficiency with 2D & 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor) and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Use CAD to create and refine mechanical designs for robust, cost-effective machines
• Ensure designs meet project scope, specs, and regulatory requirements
• Create detailed drawings and ECNs; communicate with other departments
• Support manufacturing and testing of machines; assist with vendor inquiries
• Review chassis specs and manage multiple projects from start to finish
