Job summary

Air Products seeks a Mechanical Engineer – Product Design & Development in Missouri to transform ideas into real solutions. You will design pressure containment vessels, assess manufacturability, and work with Product Development, Quality, Procurement, and Operations to meet requirements.

You’ll perform hands-on lab work, model in SolidWorks, maintain PDM, and contribute to the next generation of membrane technologies while traveling domestically as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in product design or mechanical engineering using SolidWorks.
• Experience creating CAD models, assemblies, and drawings.
• Lab or testing experience with data interpretation.
• SolidWorks certifications and DFSS knowledge are a plus.
• Understanding of manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or development processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Apply mechanical design principles to create pressure containment vessels and related products.
• Incorporate manufacturability and fabrication considerations into designs.
• Use SolidWorks to model, assemble, and document parts and drawings.
• Maintain design documentation in SolidWorks PDM and organize testing labs.
• Plan and conduct mechanical tests, analyze results, and report findings.
• Collaborate with plant engineering and manufacturing teams on new product introductions.
• Develop test plans and coordinate prototype manufacturing activities.
• Support safety standards and lab best practices.
