SharkNinja is seeking a Product Design Engineering Intern to help shape future home innovations. You will work between Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering, sketching, building, testing, and iterating with the consumer in mind.

You will join a team that values hands-on prototyping, rapid iteration, and cross-functional collaboration. This role emphasizes user-centered design, strong communication, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current student in a related bachelor’s/master’s/PhD program or recent graduate.
• Can work full-time, 40 hours/week, five days onsite in Needham, MA.
• Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or Rhino).
• Experience with basic prototyping tools (3D printing, shop).
• Strong communication and problem-solving in mechanical engineering and design.

Responsibilities

• Generate new product concepts with a user-centered focus (ergonomics, aesthetics, functional innovation).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define solutions meeting functional requirements and UX goals.
• Lead design studies to address technical and user-experience challenges.
• Build and test quick-turn, low-fidelity prototypes and derive key findings from user tests.
• Rethink and innovate everyday design challenges with curiosity and resilience.
