Job summary

Watlow Electric Manufacturing Company in Hannibal, MO, is seeking a Product Design Engineer I to create and maintain 3D models and 2D drawings for Watlow products, including heaters and vessels. The role focuses on executing design work within standard platforms, using established options while under guidance, building core skills in CAD, GD&T, and Watlow drafting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD (preferred: SolidWorks).
• Basic Excel and general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Convert customer requirements into 3D SolidWorks models and 2D drawings using standard templates and following Watlow standards.
• Prepare ASME engineering calculations in support of individual designs.
• Create and maintain part numbers and bills of materials in company ERP system.
• Coordinate with product engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality, and operations to produce agency compliant and manufacturable designs.
• Assist in troubleshooting product design related issues in manufacturing.
