Job summary

Electrofilm Manufacturing Company LLC seeks a Product Design Engineer to join the ECS Product Team in Valencia, CA. You will design composite and metallic structures, ducting, thermal and acoustic control, and integrated heaters, delivering parts lists, 3D models and GD&T-compliant drawings.

You will lead project progress, develop designs and reports through the development cycle, and present at technical reviews. ITAR compliance applies; U.S. Persons required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent field.
• 3+ years of engineering design and development experience.
• Experience designing mechanical components/systems with composites, elastomers, and metals.
• Strong CAD and drawings proficiency in SolidWorks and/or Catia.
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support project goals with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Develop prototypes and products ready for production transfer.
• Perform design and analysis to meet requirements.
• Design tooling and fixtures to enable efficient production.
• Address technical problems in lab or production line.
• Support resolution of field issues and product escapes.
• Create parts lists and digital BOMs for assemblies.
• Develop procedures for tests and qualification reports.
• Produce 3D models and 2D drawings using GD&T standards.
