Job summary

Electrofilm Manufacturing Company LLC in Valencia, CA seeks a Product Design Engineer to design composite and metallic structures, ducting, fluid and thermal control systems, acoustic control, and heaters for a variety of applications.

You will generate concepts, create 3D models and 2D drawings with SolidWorks or Catia, lead projects, and develop detailed specifications and reports throughout the product development cycle, presenting results at technical reviews.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of engineering design in a development environment.
• Experience designing mechanical components/systems using composites, elastomers, and metals.
• Proficient in CAD and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support project goals with engineering leadership, finance, ME, quality, and production teams.
• Develop prototypes and transition products to production.
• Perform design and analysis to meet requirements.
• Design tooling and fixtures for efficient production.
• Generate 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and/or Catia.
• Develop procedures and reports for Acceptance, Qualification, and Analysis.
• Lead technical reviews and present results.
