Job Overview
Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. Acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented, prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies. Intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner while maintaining a consistent professional appearance.
Responsibilities
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact with, and sell product to consumers in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Set up and prepare the Event Table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports per Company Policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Access the internet and navigate company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer Skills: Proficient use of and navigation on a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
- Physical Demands: Regular standing, walking, hand use, reaching up to 65 inches, speaking, hearing, visual reading, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing, balancing, lifting up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds) and pushing/pulling a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden; preparation of foods and beverages using required appliances; exposure to cleaning supplies.

- Work Environment: Retail store environment, limited travel.
- Physical Appearance: Professional appearance and grooming in accordance with retailer dress code.
- Language Skills: English primary; bilingual may be required.
