Job Description

The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented. They prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies. They intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner. They maintain an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Possess aptitude and the ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
  • Have the desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
  • Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
  • Properly set up and prepare the event table for execution.
  • Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
  • Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
  • Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports as per company policy.
  • Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
  • Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient at using and navigating a personal computer or mobile device using applications and internal systems.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handlers permit may be required.
Physical Demands

The associate will be regularly required to stand and walk during the shift; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms up to 65 inches; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop; kneel; squat; climb or step up a ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product; prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; and be in contact with cleaning supplies.

Work Environment

Retail store environment with limited travel.

Physical Appearance

Maintain a professional appearance and proper grooming in line with the retailer dress code.

Language Skills

English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
