Description
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers and demonstrating products in a professional manner, and maintaining a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Responsibilities
- Possesses aptitude and ability to acquire adequate product knowledge.
- Actively intercepts, engages, interacts, and sells product to consumers.
- Communicates product features and benefits effectively.
- Prepares and serves food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
- Maintains a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintains professional appearance per job requirements.
- Sets up and prepares event table for execution.
- Achieves 100% execution of assigned work.
- Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections.
- Builds and maintains rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
- Completes expense reports per company policy.
- Accurately submits all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Accesses the internet and navigates company electronic systems, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience or training preferred.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
- Certificates/Licenses: Local Food Handler permit may be required.
- Physical Demands: The associate will regularly stand, walk, use hands/fingers, reach, talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push or pull a demonstration cart; prepare food using required appliances; and be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Other Requirements
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- Work environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
- Physical appearance: Professional appearance and proper grooming required; specific retailer dress code included in training.
- Language skills: English is primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
