Description

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, intercepting consumers and demonstrating products in a professional manner, and maintaining a professional appearance consistent with job requirements.

Responsibilities

• Possesses aptitude and ability to acquire adequate product knowledge.
• Actively intercepts, engages, interacts, and sells product to consumers.
• Communicates product features and benefits effectively.
• Prepares and serves food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
• Maintains a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
• Maintains professional appearance per job requirements.
• Sets up and prepares event table for execution.
• Achieves 100% execution of assigned work.
• Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections.
• Builds and maintains rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
• Completes expense reports per company policy.
• Accurately submits all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
• Accesses the internet and navigates company electronic systems, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF forms.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience or training preferred.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
• Certificates/Licenses: Local Food Handler permit may be required.
• Physical Demands: The associate will regularly stand, walk, use hands/fingers, reach, talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push or pull a demonstration cart; prepare food using required appliances; and be in contact with cleaning supplies.

• Work environment: Retail store environment with limited travel.
• Physical appearance: Professional appearance and proper grooming required; specific retailer dress code included in training.
• Language skills: English is primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
