Job summary

Tanium is seeking a highly motivated product counsel to join our legal team. You will advise on a full range of product-related issues and work with Product Management, Engineering and Strategy through the lifecycle to address issues and enable go-to-market goals.

You will serve as a legal advisor on AI matters, ensure global compliance, and support privacy-by-design principles throughout the software development lifecycle, collaborating with Contracts and broader Legal teams.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited institution.
• Active bar in at least one state.
• 5+ years of relevant legal experience in software/tech.
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and regulations.
• Working knowledge of global privacy laws and impact on product development.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on product-related issues domestically and internationally.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering and Strategy through the product lifecycle.
• Advise on AI policies, licensing, and risk assessments.
• Ensure product compliance with global privacy, data security, export controls.
• Negotiate license agreements and support contract negotiations.
• Advise on privacy by design and data minimization throughout development.
