Job summary

Chime is seeking a Business Control Manager to strengthen the first line of defense within our Compliance team. You will own the control environment for assigned business units, design and validate controls with product, engineering, and operations, and monitor regulatory changes that affect controls as we scale.

You will collaborate with product, legal, and risk partners, document decisions, and contribute to governance reporting.

Qualifications

4+ years in regulatory compliance, risk management, or internal controls in fintech/financial services.
Experience with consumer protection regulations (Reg Z/E, UDAAP) and related frameworks.
Experience documenting risks, controls, and issues in a GRC platform.

Responsibilities

Own control environments for assigned business units and maintain control libraries.
Evaluate new products for regulatory risk and design appropriate controls.
Run risk reviews, gap analyses, and control-maturity assessments.
Map risks to regulatory obligations and maintain records in the GRC platform.
Collaborate with Engineering/Product and Compliance to implement controls and validate effectiveness.
