About the Work

The Maritime Safety Office (SFH) provides global maritime geospatial intelligence to support security objectives, safety of navigation, international obligations, and military operations. SFH manages all related Maritime GEOINT databases, products, and services, serving as the authoritative source for maritime geospatial information supporting naval operations and safety of life at sea. Responsibilities include advising NGA on strategic messaging, ensuring message coordination, and producing NGA publications and memoranda. The role requires interpreting technology into technical documentation, collaborating with developers, and providing strategic communication support.

Your Duties

1. Manage corrective actions from external ISO audits.
2. Oversee corrective actions, improvements, and quality training activities.
3. Develop and maintain quality performance metrics.
4. Perform internal audits based on ISO 9001:2015 standard.
5. Evaluate documents and records for conformance with QMS requirements.
6. Manage Opportunities for Improvement activities, including process changes and risk management.
7. Identify root causes of QMS nonconformance issues.
8. Conduct QMS and quality awareness training.
9. Implement process improvements and re-engineering efforts.
10. Identify gaps in QMS conformance.
11. Track and report on QMS activities.

Required Skills and Experience

• Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) Security Clearance
• US Citizenship
• Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of relevant experience; advanced degree may substitute experience
• Experience performing internal audits based on ISO 9001:2015
• Experience with IC QMS and ISO 9001:2015 standards
• Experience managing quality programs and conducting audits
• Developing performance metrics and managing training programs
• Overseeing process improvement initiatives
• Proven report writing and presentation skills
