Program Assurance Manager
The Program Assurance Manager plays a pivotal strategic role in ensuring the success and efficiency of the parcel program by overseeing the entire lifecycle of parcel projects from initial concepting through implementation, and support. This role ensures compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications, while managing risks and implementing effective controls for current objectives as well as strategic expansion of the program. This role is critical in identifying risks, implementing controls, and ensuring successful program delivery.
Duties/Responsibilities
Program Governance & Compliance
- Key responsibilities include leading quality assurance efforts, driving continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and fostering a culture of safety and risk management.
- Develop and implement program assurance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Conduct audits and reviews to assess program effectiveness and adherence to guidelines.
Risk Management & Quality Assurance- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies within the department or advise of impacts to other departments and assist with strategies to counter.
- Implement quality assurance processes to enhance program performance.
- Monitor and report on program risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting- Provide assurance reports and insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between program teams, risk management, and external auditors.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across departments for program success.
Process Improvement & Best Practices- Continuously assess and improve program delivery methodologies.
- Introduce best practices and lessons learned from previous projects, and lost opportunties.
- Support training and awareness programs to embed a culture of quality assurance.
Monitoring & Performance Evaluation- Establish and track program KPIs and performance metrics.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure customer, and program objectives are met.
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on findings.
Required Skills/ Abilities- Strong knowledge of parcel project specifications and contracts with an emphasis on UPS Projects
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and governance processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2, PMI).
- Familiarity with audit tools and reporting frameworks.
- Experience with pre-sales, estimating, and other project initiation processes
Education & Experience- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Project Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in program assurance, quality assurance, risk management, or auditing.
This is primarily a desk-based role, requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based, mobility within the office, manufacturing facility, customer – and construction sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues. Office environment with face-to-face and virtual team interaction

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times. Ability to traverse office, manufacturing facility and customer sites.
