Job summary

Stored Energy Systems (SENS) in Longmont, CO seeks a Configuration Engineer to own the configuration management process and BOM lifecycle. You will define rules, maintain product standards, and ensure ERP data aligns with engineering intent and manufacturing needs.

Responsibilities include creating model BOMs, maintaining configurable structures, training Sales/CS, and auditing ERP with product docs. Bring 5+ years in related roles and a detail‑oriented mindset to a dynamic, growth‑oriented team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering.
• 5+ years in configuration management, manufacturing engineering, product engineering, product data management, or related technical role.
• Strong understanding of BOMs, configurable products, and product structures.
• Experience with engineering drawings, CAD systems, and product documentation.
• Experience with ERP systems (Syteline preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple product releases and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own the configuration management process for all products.
• Create, review, release, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Develop and maintain configurable Model BOMs for all products.
• Define and maintain product configuration rules, option compatibility, and allowable product combinations.
• Create and maintain released Product Standards defining configurable product structures, model numbering schemes, and part number schemas.
• Ensure product structures accurately represent engineering intent and manufacturing requirements.
• Create and maintain product configuration profiles for new products and product families.
• Create and maintain product labels and product identification requirements.
• Support new product introductions by establishing ERP structures, configuration data, and released product definitions.
• Perform ERP and BOM audits to ensure consistency between engineering documentation, released product configurations, and manufacturing data.
• Support pricing activities by maintaining accurate product options and configurable product structures.
• Train Sales and Customer Service personnel on configurable product offerings and product numbering.
• Support Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain with product configuration questions.
• Develop and improve configuration management processes, standards, and documentation.
• Act as the quality gatekeeper for released product configurations, ERP product data, and configurable product standards.
