Job summary

Stored Energy Systems in Longmont, CO is seeking a Configuration Engineer to lead product configuration management across the lifecycle. You will own BOM creation, review, release, and maintenance, ensuring configurations align with engineering intent and manufacturing needs.

You'll define configuration rules, maintain model BOMs, and support pricing, sales, and service with accurate product data. A strong background in BOMs and ERP systems is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years in configuration management or related technical roles.
• Strong BOM, product structures, and configurable product knowledge.
• Experience with engineering drawings and CAD.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, Syteline preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple product releases and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain product labels and product identification requirements.
• Support new product introductions by establishing ERP structures, configuration data, and released product definitions.
• Perform ERP and BOM audits to ensure consistency between engineering documentation, released product configurations, and manufacturing data.
• Support pricing activities by maintaining accurate product options and configurable product structures.
• Train Sales and Customer Service personnel on configurable product offerings and product numbering.
• Support Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain with product configuration questions.
• Develop and improve configuration management processes, standards, and documentation.
• Act as the quality gatekeeper for released product configurations, ERP product data, and configurable product standards.

SENS is seeking a Configuration Engineer responsible for maintaining the integrity of product configurations throughout the product lifecycle. This role owns the definition of released products by ensuring engineering design data, ERP product structures, configuration rules, and product standards remain accurate and synchronized. The Configuration Engineer serves as the primary authority for product configuration management, enabling consistent manufacturing, sales, service, and customer support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in configuration management, manufacturing engineering, product engineering, product data management, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), configurable products, and product structures.
• Experience with engineering drawings, CAD systems, and product documentation.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Syteline preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and product integrity.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple product releases and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in power electronics, energy storage systems, or power conversion technologies.
• Experience supporting complex configurable industrial or electrical products.
• Understanding of electrical power systems including inverters, UPS, BESS, and battery technology.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, revision control, and engineering documentation standards.

Location: Longmont, CO.

Base Compensation: $115,000 - $130,000 is the projected compensation range for this role depending on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.

Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
