Job summary

FWE / Food Warming Equipment Company, Inc. seeks a Product Compliance Manager in R&D to lead the certification program (UL, ETL, NSF, DOE, CE, UKCA, EPA) across the product lifecycle. You will drive strategy, coordinate testing, and ensure readiness for launches.

You will partner with Engineering, R&D, Purchasing, and Supply Chain to embed compliance in design, maintain records, and report to the Director of R&D. Lead audits, CAPA tracking, and regulatory updates to keep the program current.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum of 5 years in regulatory affairs, compliance, or certification management, including leading certification programs.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 internal auditing is required.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage all product certifications (UL, ETL, NSF, DOE, CE, UKCA, EPA, etc.) across the product portfolio, setting priorities and timelines for the program.
• Serve as the primary contact and decision-maker for certification agencies, testing labs, and auditors, resolving technical and procedural issues.
• Lead certification projects end to end, including testing, audits, documentation, submissions, and follow-ups.
• Maintain and govern compliance documentation and records, including certifications, test reports, standards, labeling, product literature, and the ACL.
• Monitor regulatory changes, support customer documentation requests, and provide compliance status reporting to the Director of R&D.
• Partner with R&D and Engineering to ensure compliance is built into product design from concept through launch.
• Lead design reviews and determine engineering, supplier, and component changes for compliance impact.
• Decide and direct responses to changes (certification updates, re-testing, or agency notifications).
• Own product launch readiness sign-off, ensuring all certifications and approvals are in place before commercialization.
• Work with Purchasing and Supply Chain to ensure components stay compliant throughout their lifecycle.
