Job summary

Wonder is seeking a Product Compliance Engineer to lead UL and NSF certification efforts for next-generation food automation products. You will bridge engineering and regulatory bodies, translating standards into actionable design requirements and ensuring compliance across locations.

You’ll collaborate with UL/NSF and labs, manage field evaluations, and maintain documentation. The role requires 3 days per week in the Boston office, with occasional travel to Westborough for IPIs and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience with UL or similar NRTL to obtain or maintain listings.
• Experience performing testing to UL or similar NRTL standards, using dataloggers, thermistors, and testing equipment.
• Ability to participate in new product design to flag compliance issues early.
• Bonus: NSF standards knowledge (NSF 2, 4, 7, 18, 51, 169, 170).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end UL listing and NSF certification processes for new food automation products.
• Translate UL/NSF standards into design requirements for ME/EE teams.
• Liaise with UL, NSF, and labs to facilitate testing and field evaluations.
• Conduct required product testing: heating tests, ground-bonding, mechanical safety, material compatibility.
• Suggest alternative NRTLs and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Audit and maintain BOMs for UL/NSF compliance.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers during IPIs and audits.
• Research alternative materials that meet NSF/UL standards.
