Job summary

Miniat seeks a Regulatory Specialist to ensure product labeling, nutritional information, and regulatory documentation meet USDA and FDA standards. You will prepare labels, verify ingredients, and maintain records in Infor PLM for Process, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Reporting to the VP of Food Safety & Regulatory Affairs, you will review specifications, support claims, coordinate with Growth & Innovation, Supply Chain, and Operations, and help drive continuous improvement in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or related field.
• 3+ years in food labeling, regulatory affairs, or related function in USDA/FDA environment.
• Experience reviewing labels, ingredients, formulas, and nutrition information.
• Strong written communication, organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and PLM/ERP/database systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain product labels, ingredient statements, allergen declarations, nutrition information, and related regulatory records.
• Review formulas, ingredients, processing information, specifications, and label proofs for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare USDA label submissions and maintain approval records and supporting documentation.
• Research and maintain support for product and marketing claims, including natural, gluten-free, sustainability, and other regulated or substantiated claims.
• Identify questions or compliance concerns and elevate complex or higher-risk matters to the VP – Food Safety & Regulatory Affairs.
• Create and update raw material, packaging, formula, and finished product specifications in Infor PLM for Process.
• Coordinate with Growth & Innovation, FSRA, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and other teams to obtain missing information and complete product or specification changes.
• Review records for completeness and consistency, correct identified gaps, and follow established workflows and approval requirements.
• Support data cleanup, document control, and continuous improvement of product-information practices.
• Monitor assigned federal, state, customer, and certification developments related to labeling, ingredients, claims, packaging, and product compliance.
