Job summary

Wilsonart is looking for a detail-oriented test technician to join our Materials Testing Lab in Temple, TX. You will perform testing on samples, calibrate equipment, and ensure compliance with quality standards across North American facilities.

The role requires handling calendar testing duties, documenting results in the LTS database, and communicating findings to R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams. This is a grade 4 level position with daytime shifts.

Job Description:

Job Summary

Performs testing on samples submitted through a variety of systems. Test reports will be used to benchmark internal processes and ensure compliance to current quality standards. The employees will calibrate and maintain the equipment in the Materials Testing Lab. Implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products manufactured. This is a grade 4 position, working days.

Essential duties

• Testing calendar sheets of production from Temple, Fletcher and other Wilsonart facilities in North America.
• Document test results in the LTS database
• Create and maintain entries in the LTS database
• Perform produce development tests and communicate to PPI and R&D teams
• Communicate test results to R&D, Quality and Manufacturing teams.
• Provide testing on customer claims that are processed using Part A forms.
• Calibrate test instruments in the Materials Testing Labs
• Perform nonstandard tests for specialized products manufactured by Wilsonart
• Provide feedback on trends observed in calendar test data to the PPI, Quality and Manufacturing teams to investigate.

WORKING CONDITIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting in the same location of standing/walking; required to stoop, climb or lift light material (10-20lbs) or equipment.

ENVIRONMENT:
