Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an assembler in Clayton, NC to follow documented procedures, safely assemble parts, and ensure defect-free production. The role applies lean manufacturing concepts to improve processes and uses power tools and lifting devices for assembly.

Description

As an Assembler at Caterpillar, you will follow documented procedures to safely assemble and adjust parts and components while ensuring defect-free production. In this role, you will apply lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and eliminate waste, and you will use industrial power tools as well as lifting devices to assemble products and move heavy components.

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods
• Willing and able to perform repetitive operations
• Willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds

Basic Requirements:

Top Candidates will also have:

• Manufacturing experience
• Heavy equipment or machine assembly experience
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, or technical drawings.

Shift: 1st Shift - Full Time

Hours: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday, Overtime as business needs require on Friday

Hourly: $18.00

Summary Pay Range:

$18.00 - $22.40 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
