Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Clayton, NC is seeking an Assembler to follow documented procedures and safely assemble parts. You will apply lean manufacturing concepts to eliminate waste and use power tools and lifting devices to build equipment.

The role requires at least 9 months of prior work or volunteer experience; resume strongly preferred. Shift: 1st shift, full-time with overtime as needed; compensation starts at $18.00 per hour with a potential to earn up to $22.40.

Description

As an Assembler at Caterpillar, you will follow documented procedures to safely assemble and adjust parts and components while ensuring defect-free production. In this role, you will apply lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous improvement and eliminate waste, and you will use industrial power tools as well as lifting devices to assemble products and move heavy components.

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

• Willing and able to sit or stand for prolonged periods

• Willing and able to perform repetitive operations

• Willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds

Basic Requirements:

• Minimum of 9 months of previous work experience and/or volunteer experience.

• Resume strongly preferred.

Top Candidates will also have:

• Manufacturing experience

• Heavy equipment or machine assembly experience

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, or technical drawings.

Additional Information:

Shift: 1st Shift - Full Time

Hours: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday, Overtime as business needs require on Friday

Compensation: $18.00 hourly

Summary Pay Range:
