Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Griffin, GA is seeking an Assembler II to prepare and assemble products on the line. You will follow work instructions, SOPs, blueprints, and routers while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety and quality, and you may train others in segments of the assembly process.

The role requires the ability to work independently with guidance when needed, and to keep work areas clean and organized. This position does not offer visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts per work instructions, SOPs, blueprints, risk assessment and job routers.
• Ensure products meet safety, quality and efficiency standards.
• Test or assist in testing the operation of completed product.
• Maintain routine housekeeping to eliminate hazards.
• Train others in portions of the assembly process.
• Understand the full assembly process from start to finish.
• Exhibit effective communication with team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary The Assembler II is responsible for preparing and assembling the product. Assembler II is a skilled, experienced technician with the ability to perform most tasks independently, while seeking guidance or training for more critical tasks. Level of the Assembler role will be dependent on factors such as candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble parts per work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, blueprints, Risk Assessment and job routers
• Ability to assemble quality products to meet safety protocol and efficiency standards
• Tests or assists in testing the operation of completed product
• Maintain routine housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazards
• Ability to train others in portions of the assembly process
• Comprehends entire assembly process from start to finish
• Exhibits effective communication
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Details

This role is located in Griffin, GA. Domestic relocation assistance is not available for this position. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Summary Pay Range: $19.89 - $25.15 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
