Job summary

The Plymouth Rock Company is seeking a Product Analyst to support ideation and development of new product features, with a focus on expanding and enhancing our telematics program across personal lines for the Direct division.

You will extract data for analysis, implement new rating plans and underwriting rules, and collaborate with underwriting, marketing, and IT to drive profitable growth and improve competitive position.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in quantitative field.
• Familiarity with database tools and concepts.
• Programming query experience (SQL or Visual Basic).
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Collaborative by nature but able to work independently on high volume tasks.
• Property and Casualty Insurance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a Product Management liaison with Underwriting, Customer Care, and Marketing.
• Creates and maintains product comparisons with main competitors via rate manuals and competitive intelligence.
• Collaborates with third party vendors to achieve company goals efficiently.
• Conducts cost-benefit analyses of underwriting-related changes.
• Gains understanding of insurance concepts like policy rating and actuarial analysis.
• Uses data systems to analyze business issues and communicates results to the Product Manager.
• Supports data requests from other departments related to products and policy attributes.
• Collaborates with Product Development, State Management, UW Operations & Analytics and IT teams on product and underwriting system changes.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
