Job summary

The Citi Product Analyst, Java/J2EE role sits within Citi's Product Management discipline. The role blends business insight with technology, guiding product plans, requirements, and market readiness through cross-functional collaboration.

You will contribute to operationalize product strategies, document changes, and support data-driven decisions across the product lifecycle while maintaining risk awareness and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of experience with design and development for Java/J2EE Client/Server applications.
• 3+ years of experience working with Rule engines like Drools/JBoss BRMS.
• 3+ years with relational databases and JDBC/SQL expertise.
• 3+ years of experience with Hibernate and Spring
• Strong UNIX or Linux knowledge with scripting expertise
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in fast paced environment and communicate effectively with clients, management and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed product requirements and market readiness evaluations.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to resolve business issues related to technology projects.
• Participate in technology projects for small product enhancements and minor customizations.
• Serve as SME on product customization projects and influence decisions.
• Document new products and changes to existing products and prioritize data from multiple sources.
• Oversee marketing program lifecycle management including market demands and competitive trends.
• Identify data gaps and support data mapping and trust-based relationships with partners.
• Resolve complex problems or transactions with policy and process guidance.
• Assess risk when making business decisions and ensure compliance.
